i wish i remembered where i found this photograph, who made it. (if anyone who stumbles here knows the origin, please comment or email me - and if by a long shot it is yours, and i shouldn't have posted it, let me know, but it is a perfect representation of the act of placing oneself in front of a lens, just beautiful and vulnerable and performative - and i love the presence of the old photographs tacked to the wall, a kind of pantheon of other acts of imagining, a kind of host of angels participating in this one, guiding the project)
